FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Here you'll find the answers to the most frequently asked questions about our innovative EUCOS Cooling as a Service model. We are here to clarify any doubts and show you how we can transform your business's climate control management into a competitive advantage.
Section 1: Understanding the "as a Service" Model

1. What does EUCOS Cooling as a Service (CaaS) mean?
EUCOS CaaS is a disruptive model that revolutionizes industrial and commercial climate control. Instead of purchasing a system (CapEx), you pay a fixed and predictable fee for the pure outcome: the guaranteed ideal temperature. We supply, manage, and maintain the system, assuming all operational and obsolescence risks, with a performance commitment defined by an SLA. It is an "all-inclusive" service that frees you from all complexity, allowing you to focus on your core business.
2. What is the difference between CaaS and traditional rental?
Traditional rental provides you with equipment; CaaS provides you with a complete and guaranteed service. With a rental, the operational responsibility, maintenance, variable energy costs, and breakdown risks remain yours. With EUCOS CaaS, our all-inclusive fixed fee covers the entire system lifecycle—from supply to 24/7 management, predictive maintenance, compliance, and optimization. We offer you a guaranteed outcome (the ideal temperature), not just an asset.

3. Why should I adopt the CaaS model instead of purchasing a system (CapEx)?
Purchasing a traditional system (CapEx) ties you to a costly asset and to operational and financial risks: high initial costs, depreciation, extraordinary maintenance, obsolescence, and system downtime. EUCOS CaaS transforms all of this into an operating expense (OpEx) that is often fully deductible, freeing up liquidity and capital for your strategic investments. We offer you Zero Upfront Costs, Zero On-site Emissions, and Zero Worries, guaranteeing you unprecedented performance and reliability.
4. Is CaaS also a solution for energy efficiency and sustainability?
Absolutely. Energy efficiency and sustainability are central pillars of our model. We exclusively use 100% electric, low-GWP (Global Warming Potential), and zero direct on-site emission systems. Our 24/7 monitoring and proactive optimization ensure efficient energy delivery, allowing you to drastically reduce consumption and achieve your ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) goals in a measurable and guaranteed way.

Section 2: Our Process and Service
5. How does the EUCOS CaaS service activation work?
Our process is designed to be fast, transparent, and without surprises, culminating in an operational solution in less than 30 days, and service activation in approximately 90 days from final approval.
It is divided into 4 phases:
-
Discovery & Operating Envelope: Listening to your needs, technical analysis, and joint definition of the service's operational perimeter (OE).
-
Clear Proposal & Digital Contract: Presentation of an all-inclusive offer and digital signing of the Service Level Agreement (SLA).
-
Delivery, Commissioning & Go-Live: Equipment delivery, flexible installation (by you or us), commissioning, and activation of the EUCOS Box telemetry.
-
Proactive Management & 24/7 Optimization: Continuous monitoring via the EUCOS Field Sense IoT platform, predictive interventions, and constant performance optimization.

6. What does the "all-inclusive" fee cover?
Our monthly fee covers every aspect necessary to guarantee you the ideal climate:
-
Leasing and supply of the equipment.
-
Routine, extraordinary, preventive, and predictive maintenance.
-
Comprehensive All-Risk insurance on the system.
-
Extended equipment warranty for the entire contract duration.
-
Technical assistance and rapid interventions guaranteed by SLA.
-
Regulatory compliance (e.g., for the Italian market: F-Gas, RCEE).
-
EUCOS Field Sense telemetry and access to dashboards.
-
Transfer of breakdown and obsolescence risk.
Strategically excluded are the consumed electricity (which we optimize but is at your expense), any consumable air filters (e.g., for rooftops), and malicious damage.

7. What is the Operating Envelope (OE) and why is it important?
The Operating Envelope (OE) is the key document that defines the operational perimeter of your climate control service. It formalizes your needs (e.g., temperature set-points, usage profiles, environmental constraints) and service KPIs. It is the reference point for the stability of the fee and the transparency of our partnership, ensuring you receive exactly the agreed-upon outcome without surprises.

8. What is an EUCOS CaaS Service Level Agreement (SLA)?
Our SLA is a binding agreement that defines the minimum guaranteed service levels, ensuring your complete peace of mind. It includes:
-
Guaranteed Uptime: Minimum operating percentage of your system.
-
Response Times: Maximum reactivity of our team in case of an alert.
-
Restoration Times: Maximum duration for resolving an anomaly.
-
Automatic Service Credits: A protective mechanism that activates automatically in case of deviations from the agreed-upon metrics.
It is the tangible proof of our alignment: our success depends on your operational continuity.

9. What equipment can I choose?
We are not tied to a single manufacturer. Our independence allows us to select the best HVAC technologies available on the global market, based on your specific needs. We only propose high-efficiency chillers, heat pumps, air handling units, direct expansion VRF systems, and precision air conditioners, selected for reliability, performance, and manufacturer support. Everything is integrated into our service and our EUCOS Field Sense digital platform.
10. Is the service available everywhere?
We operate at full capacity throughout the entire Italian territory, guaranteeing the same identical level of service from North to South. Our strength is based on the capillary technical assistance network of the EUCOS Group and that of the official service centers of our OEM partners, ensuring rapid and competent interventions wherever your system is located. Furthermore, we have initiated our international expansion plan to follow our clients into key European markets. If you have multi-site needs at a continental level, contact us to define a custom coverage strategy.

Section 3: Duration, Flexibility, and End of Service
11. How long is an EUCOS CaaS contract?
This choice is the core of our "Zero Worries" model and radically distinguishes us from financial leasing. Our goal is not for you to pay for a system for a short period, but to guarantee you an outcome—the perfect climate or temperature—for the entire useful life of the equipment we have selected for you. The contract duration (e.g., 10 years) is strategically aligned with the optimal operational life of the asset within the specific Operating Envelope. This alignment guarantees you that:
-
We Maximize Your "Zero Worries": We assume full and total responsibility for all risks associated with the system: from complete management, to predictive maintenance, insurance, and the risk of technological obsolescence. On a shorter horizon, the cost and management of such risks (which would emerge at expiration) would inevitably fall back on you, nullifying the "Zero Worries" promise.
-
We Guarantee Maximum Efficiency and Stability: A long-term commitment gives us the direct economic incentive to invest in the most efficient selection, maintenance, and monitoring of the asset. Our success is tied to the system's ability to operate at its best for its entire useful life, optimizing consumption and ensuring the continuity of the service defined in the SLA, without unforeseen costs.
In summary, the duration of the EUCOS CaaS contract is the financial and operational tool that allows you to completely offload every thought and every risk related to climate control onto us, allowing you to focus solely on your core business.
12. What happens if my needs change over time?
Our model is inherently flexible. If your operational needs (loads, set-points, usage profiles) change, a simple Change Order will allow us to quickly adapt the Operating Envelope (OE) and, if necessary, the system's capacity. The contract evolves with your business, without the need for complex renegotiations.
13. What happens at the end of the contract?
At expiration, you can choose to renew the service, adjusting the price based on any technological upgrades performed. Alternatively, you can opt for a traditional management of the system, which will remain on a free loan basis, and activate a maintenance-only contract. You can also consider purchasing the system, but remember: our value is in the service, not in the ownership of the hardware.
14. Can I purchase the system at the end of the contract?
Our model is not designed for the sale of hardware, but to offer you a continuous and high-performing service. However, should you prefer to purchase the system, we would be pleased to evaluate a specific offer, taking into account any residual value of the equipment.
15. Who is the EUCOS Group?
EUCOS Cooling as a Service is a disruptive spin-off of the EUCOS Group, a company with over 120 years of experience (since 1903) in technological systems and the implementation of complex industrial and commercial solutions. This solid legacy of know-how is the foundation of our reliability and our innovative vision in the climate control sector.
